Dreamland Sugar Cookies with Blue Royal Icing

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! These stunning cookies are as magical as snow in Southern California and they certainly make us believe in Christmas miracles. Imagine eating buttery and warm snowflakes that slowly melt in your mouth with a piping hot cup of coffee or cocoa. Ahh, so dreamy... With our Suncore Foods® Aqua Blue Spirulina Supercolor Powder, it's super easy to achieve this icy blue color, and with a pinch of Suncore Foods® Rose Salt, it is a perfect way to bring out the vanilla flavor! Christmas cookies can't get better than this, so let's try out this recipe because who doesn't want these exquisite cookies. And because no snowflake as is the same as another, decorating these cookies make a fantastic Christmas party activity and treat!


For the Sugar Cookies:
250 grams all-purpose flour
25 grams corn starch
110 grams unsalted butter (room temperature)
100 grams icing sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pinch of Suncore Foods® Rose Salt

For the Royal Icing:
2 cups icing sugar (shifted)
1 1/2 tbsp meringue powder
1/4 + 1/8 cup water
Pinch of Suncore Foods® Aqua Blue Spirulina Supercolor Powder
1 tsp pure vanilla extract



1. Place sugar, meringue powder and water in a large bowl; whip on medium low speed until everything comes together; add in Spirulina powder and vanilla.

2. Continue whipping until stiff peak foam. Transfer to piping bag and pipe directly on cookies. Enjoy!
